Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser says a parliamentary committee, compromising government and opposition leaders, has been formed to review the measures to completely control COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
He said it has been decided with opposition parties to develop a joint strategy to contain the prevailing situation.
The Speaker said government is fully prepared to listen the recommendations and proposals of opposition to successfully curb the Coronavirus pandemic.
He urged opposition parties not to do politics on the issue for political point-scoring.
Asad Qaiser asked Members of National Assembly to stay in their respective constituencies and help the deserving people in this critical situation.
He said being a responsible nation, all parliamentarians, religious scholars, paramedic staff, youth and members of civil society would take unified stance to fight the spread of Coronavirus outbreak.
