Father and Daughter Fatally Struck by Speeding SUV in Karachi; Five Injured

Karachi-The incident occurred when a large vehicle, driven by a woman later identified as Natasha, daughter of a local businessman, lost control, striking several motorcycles before crashing into a car. Witnesses reported that the vehicle then reversed, worsening the situation.

The victims of the accident were identified as 60-year-old Imran Arif and his 22-year-old daughter, Amina, residents of Scheme 33. Imran Arif was on his way home from the office with his daughter when the tragedy struck. Both father and daughter died at the scene from their injuries.

Five other individuals sustained injuries in the accident and were quickly transported to Jinnah Hospital for treatment. Four of the injured are reported to be in stable condition, while one remains in critical condition.

Following the crash, a large crowd gathered at the scene, and Natasha, the SUV driver, was apprehended by the public and handed over to the police. Law enforcement officials stated that Natasha appeared mentally unstable at the time of her arrest, and a UK driving license was found in her possession.

A first information report (FIR) of the accident was subsequently filed at the Bahadurabad police station, based on a complaint from Imran Arif’s brother.

Police also revealed that the driver, Natasha, had sustained a head injury and was undergoing a CT scan at Jinnah Hospital. They have initiated a medical examination to determine whether she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident.
