Akbar Durrani (TI)/PAS chaired the meeting on the International day against drug abuse & Illicit trafficking

Federal Secretary for Narcotics Control, Akbar Durrani (TI)/PAS chaired the meeting on preparations of activities to be conducted on the International day against drug abuse & Illicit Trafficking. This day is celebrated internationally to counter drug abuse and illicit trafficking across the globe. All the communities, organizations and volunteers come together to raise their voice against this menace. Every year there’s a theme assigned to bring in more focused approach and create better awareness. This year’s theme revolves around fact sharing to reinforce the hazards that are associated with increased drug consumption.
Different activities are planned to engage the individuals and share the message of saying no drugs. The purpose is to reach maximum audience and educate them regarding the gravity of the situation.
Mr. Akbar Durrani took valuable input from the participants to devise a comprehensive plan of execution for the final day.
Ms. Christina Afridi from KKAWF, Dr. Parveen Azam Khan from Dost Foundation Pakistan, Manzoor Ali Memon, DG Internal Publicity, Syeda Ayesha Tassaduq from Press Information Department, Representatives from Anti Narcotics Force, External Publicity Wing, Pakistan Television, Pakistan Radio, UNODC and officials of Ministry of Narcotics Control attended the meeting.
