AJK Tennis Association induction in the PTF Council

Lahore – Kanwal Khan:

The Pakistan Tennis Federation is pleased to announce that the AJK Tennis Association has been formally inducted, initially as a non-voting member, in the PTF Council, after fulfilling the constitutional requirements of PTF. This is indeed a historical occasion.

The AJKTA, and the GB Tennis Association had applied several months ago, however, in the PTF Council meeting of 16 Jan 2021, it was decided that the President may form a Scrutiny Committee to seek any further required information and submit its recommendations to the President’s Office.  While the AJKTA complied fully with all requirements, the GBTA has yet been unable to respond with required information.

Mr. Salim Saifullah Khan, President-PTF welcomed the induction of AJKTA and lauded the services of Mr. M. Farook Sabir President-AJKTA, and Mr. Muhammad Habib Jarral Secretary-General-AJKTA, for their hectic and untiring efforts to organize and establish the AJKTA. During a short period of time, they have shown tremendous potential and interest to develop and promote the game of tennis all over AJK. He also assured and extended all possible assistance to the Association in their future endeavours.

He opined that this will have a very positive impact and convey a very strong message of national unity at all the levels.
